The Idaho Time Sensitive Emergency (TSE) System was established to address three leading preventable causes of death: trauma, stroke, and heart attack (STEMI). It brings together hospitals, EMS agencies, public health districts, and the Idaho Military Division in a statewide collaborative effort.
This system is built on evidence-based care and supports every stage of the emergency continuum—public education and prevention, 911 access, coordinated response, pre‑hospital care, transport, emergency and acute care, rehabilitation, and quality improvement. By creating a seamless transition across all levels of care and leveraging existing community resources, the TSE program aims to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs.

Idaho's Stroke Smart initiative is strengthening statewide efforts to ensure every resident understands the signs of stroke, calls 911, and receives coordinated care from the moment symptoms begin. This communication tool was created to upload and share regional and statewide documents such as agendas, minutes, presentations, and education flyers and brochures. TSE Regional Committees can edit documents in real-time and statewide workgroups can facilitate discussions.
