Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator
A Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC) is a pediatric champion who has a passion for pediatrics and is a licensed individual with an EMS agency or a hospital. A PECC ensures pediatric information, education, and training is communicated and implemented within their agency or emergency department. Responsibilities:
-- Ensure all staff members receive EMSC communications
-- Support pediatric readiness for your agency or ED
-- Encourage pediatric training and education opportunities
-- Advocate for providers to follow pediatric clinical practice guidelines
-- Be the one who asks, "What about peds?"
Regional PECC Leaders
A Regional PECC Leader (RPL) oversees their TSE Region as a PECC to enhance communication. The RPL assists the EMSC Program Manager by streamlining the coordination of pediatric education and training to the PECCs within their region.
